Examples include the following: (1) platforms we use for marketing emails; (2) registration and/or customer relationship management platforms; (3) and continuing medical education credit claim platforms (when you complete a course and/or claim continuing medical education credit, information about your participation is provided to an accreditor for issuance of any continuing medical education credit).

  • NCEED Event Registration: Registration is required to participate in a live or on-demand event. Information collected and stored includes your name, email address, phone number, and any additional information that is asked and you voluntarily provide.

Browser information, site usage of resources and pages accessed, general traffic, length of stay, and location data, is collected and stored in secure files on an encrypted server. This information is collected and shared on an anonymous basis in grouped format, meaning that this information is not connected to your name or any other personal information.

Legal and Regulatory Obligations

Please be aware that NCEED and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill have various legal and regulatory obligations to disclose many types of information, as well as operational reasons for doing so. Unless specifically protected (e.g., FERPA-protected student information, HIPAA-protected health information), the University may disclose information obtained through your use of University systems for University business purposes in accordance with governing law. Such operational reasons are to report unidentified data to accrediting organizations/agencies upon request to maintain accreditation.
